This is one of the most famous Arkki workshops. The participants learn about structures and architecture in a fun, exciting and sweet way.
The participants design and build their own fantasy structures using candy and cocktail sticks as building materials. The structures are based on space geometry; the sticks work as structural elements and the sweets as joints.
The participants explore and learn by experimenting, with all the senses involved in the learning process.
Sweet architecture ingeniously encourages learning through experimentation ‑ “the more your build, the more sweets you aquire”.
The workshop includes an inspirational lecture introducing triangular structures and trusses.
