Accessibility

Arkki International organizes workshops at Fredrikinkatu 61 A at its premises. The workshop spaces are located on the 7th floor.

Public transport

All means of public transport can be used to easily reach Arkki International. Kamppi metro station and bus terminal are one block away, trams no. 1, 4 and 10 stop across Kamppi center, and trams no. 7 & 9 in front of the block in Kampintori. 

Assistants

Assistants accompanying visitors with physical disabilities or visitors requiring special guidance and assistance due to disability are welcome without event fee.

Service dogs

Service and guide dogs are welcome in the building.

Wheelchair-access

The workshop space is not fully wheelchair accessible, as there is a doorstep in the street entrance (roughly 15 cm in height) and some thresholds. Doors are not automatic. The workshop space can be accessed with a lift. The door is not automatic, but personnel will assist visitors when needed. 

Induction loop

An induction loop is not available in the premises.

Prams and strollers / baby changing room

The workshop space is easily accessible with strollers, with a doorstep in the street entrance (roughly 15 cm in height) and some thresholds. Doors are not automatic. The workshop space can be accessed with a lift. There is a table but no special baby-changing facilities.

Parking

There are a few paid parking spaces on the surrounding streets, but generally private parking is difficult.

The parking spot recommended for visitors with physical disabilities is located in front of the block. Accessible parking is free with a local “Disability access symbol” in the car. The distance from the parking spot to the courtyard entrance recommended for disabled visitors is roughly 10 meters. The path to the entrance is paved in asphalt.

The premises have unisex bathrooms.
